Students learn how to install and configure macOS Server to provide network-based services, such as file sharing, authentication, and printing. Tools for efficiently managing and deploying macOS and software updates are also covered. The course is a combination of lectures and hands-on case study exercises that provide practical real-world experience. For Students Enrolled in a Virtual Class: Each student will need a setup with two (2) devices in order to take the class virtually. One device may be a Mac or iPad, while the other must be a Mac with the correct software (and version) being taught in the course already installed. This setup will allow virtual students to view the presentation on one computer and complete support exercises on the other one.
Upon completion of the macOS Server Essentials 10.12 (Sierra 201) course, students will be able to: Utilize the features of Server 5 for macOS Configure essential services on Server for macOS Use Server for macOS tools to monitor and troubleshoot services Use of Server for macOS to manage a small network of Macintosh computers and users Manage access to files and services.
